Our Special Wire Ropes catalogue provides a compact overview of our VORNBÄUMEN range of special wire ropes. Our special ropes bear the designation “VS” for Vornbäumen Spezial. This is followed by the number of outer strands (e.g. 16 or 8). The letters C and P stand for “Compacted” and “Plastified”.

You will find the tried and tested rotation-resistant special ropes such as VS 16-1, VS 16-2, VS 15-1 C and VS 16-5 C. In the 8-strand range you will find, among others, the popular constructions VS 8-1 P (8 outer strands with plastic core), VS 8-7 CP (compacted outer strands and plastic core) and VS 8-2 CP (8 compacted outer strands, compacted core and plastic). The range is rounded off by various six-strand special ropes such as the VS 6-11 C with compacted outer strands. All our ropes combine strong performance, robustness and good service life.

In many technological fields, our strands and ropes are used as actuating pulls in order to keep machines and components moving. Wherever force and movement need to be realised safely, flexibly and precisely, VORNBÄUMEN actuating pulls are in use. Over the past 20 years we have systematically continued to evolve into a developer and systems provider.

Strong support at steep slopes: our ropes for snow groomers withstand great stresses and strains. In addition to smooth riding comfort, safety is of course of utmost importance for cable car ropes. Special requirements are placed on cable car ropes by European standard 12385-8. Special criteria apply, in particular with regard to construction, the strength of the wires and the special lubrication of steel ropes.

FITNESS ROPE “VoProX

In various test cycles, we have succeeded in developing a high-performance steel rope with optimised properties for the operation of strength fitness equipment. It provides high flexibility and stability with very smooth running. The plastic-coated rope is suitable for both professional and home exercise equipment. It is now available under the brand name “VoProX” in five different standard diameters.
